5k Training Program (8 weeks)

WHY JOIN OUR 5k PROGRAM? Learning to run is fun, accessible, and gratifying experience. You'll gain fitness and friends as you build a lifelong habit that you can enjoy from your front door or out on the beautiful trails and tarmac in Bend. Brand new runners and folks returning to running after a break will be comfortable in this beginner-centric group. SAFE: We take pride in helping participants gradually and safely improve their fitness levels. Our mission is to help team members move more comfortably and perform better at every athletic stage of their journey. SOCIAL: Group training is like having a personal fitness support group. Our support group meets twice weekly. FUN: Our terrific team of mentors ensures that fun and fitness co-exist in our short distance program. & MORE: Participants receive education, training group swag, and weekly running plan to prepare for a 5k event. PROGRAM STRUCTURE Our 5k group trains Tuesday evenings (6:00pm) and Saturday mornings (8:00am) meeting at various Bend locations. REGISTRATION - Our program starts on Saturday, February 13th 2027 and will prepare participants for a mid April 5k event - Bend Marathon 5k. After you register you will receive immediate confirmation of your registration via email or text (from our registration system). You will receive further updates from your coach as the start date of your training group nears .
